About the Summit & HDR (High Definition Revoicer)
This rockin' behemoth is the newest member of the Signature series and with its 24 ¾” scale, carved high flame maple top, solid mahogany body, Godin High Definition Revoicer and Seymour Duncan 59 & Alnico 2 humbuckers, this guitar will bring the house down!
H.D.R. High-Definition Revoicer The H.D.R. revoices and augments the frequency range of each pickup and allows the player to go from passive to active pickups with the simple push of a button.
Th H.D.R. provides extra bite, dynamic response and redefines the character of each pickup. It’s like having 2 sets of pickups in 1 guitar for 5 pure passive tones + 5 pure active tones.
My view on the Godin Summit
The Godin Summit is in my opinion the most versatile guitar on the market available under £700.
Not only the most versatile but when you combine the massive array of tonal variations (thanks to 5 way switching and the wonderful high definition revoicer button) with its impeccible build quality, stunning visuals (such as high grade maple top and Ebony fingerboard) you have an instrument that would be wonderful at twice the price. (however at twice the price you can get an LGXSA which is yet again another unbelievable instrument at the price too!).
If you have not yet heard the power of the HDR (High Definiition Revoicer), get yourself into a guitar shop (preferably mine of course!) and try it out. You will not beleive how useful it is. The system switches your passive pickup (smoother, softer edged tones) into an active (harder edged, punchier, glassier like) pickup. The pickups are by Seymour Duncan and sound awesome even without the HDR switched on. The neck feels wonderful with a beautifully soft edge to the fretboard for that real worn in feel.
Without a shadow of a doubt my favourite current production guitar at £600 and if you are reading this and do not try one before considering your next purchase....shame on you!

When you buy a guitar from Richards guitars the first thing to take into account is that I (Richard) overseas the entire process beginning to end. The only aspect not handled by myself is the setup itself. I even personally pack the guitar after I have tested the guitar post setup.

This only occurs once the guitar has been inspected visually for any cosmetic flaws that occur in production instruments. 6 Month & 12 Month Checkup/Reset (worth £25 a visit)
Every day my workshop is responsible for checking guitars that have been brought back for their 6 and 12 month checks. During this process my technicians will check the setup, make any adjustments necessary and give the guitar a general overhaul bringing it back to its former glory.
