About Us
With 13 years experience in guitar retail under my belt I had become dis-heartened by industry politics, and the general verbal diorhea that surrounds so many high profile brands marketing these days. I found myself selling brands which I had no personal connection or belief and found this very difficult to live with, I could not be blamed for people who did not seek advice but it still didn't make it any more pleasureable. As a result I decided to close one of the busiest and most highly respected guitar stores in the UK - Regent Guitars.
I now specialise in a select number of brands which mean something special to me. My service caters for customers who appreciate first class service. If you want one to one service with someone who understands the product and is extremely proud of the way in which their instruments are presented and supplied - I am your man.
No weekend staff, no managers who may or may not be around on the day you come - You will be dealing with me in person.
I pride myself in offering no hidden charges. Delivery and setup is FREE. As is our statatory 6 and 12 month checkups and reset service (known as Premier Service).
I would hate for you to think of Richard's as an online store, nor even as a "guitar shop". Think of me more as someone with whom you can consult with regards to your next purchase and someone who only wants to offer you the very best guitar purchasing experience and back up service. |
Making A Purchase
Purchases can be made by phone, in person or securely online.
Your order will be handled by Richard (formerly of Regent Guitars) from beginning to end, ensuring you receive the very best service throughout. |
Shipping And Handling
Delivery is £15. Premier Service is FREE of charge (optional).
IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING PREMIER SERVICE
When we undertake a premier service on an instrument we do so on the basis that the guitar is now YOURS. Rarely (but it happens) a customer will cancel an order when/if we REJECT the guitar when it falls below our qualty control standards. Please not that 10-15% of guitars that are checked DO fail quality control - this is due to the nature of mass produced guitars - made to a cost in the far east. When you purchase an instrument with Premier Service you must do so with the understanding that it MAY be rejected and there MAY be a delay caused.
The full premier service charge will be applied - regardless of whether the instrument passes or fails our quality control. In normal circumstances we would then carry out a second (or third - whatever it takes) FREE of charge but will have to charge you for all work carried out IF you cancel the order following any setup. |
Delivery Schedule
Deliveries are dispatched using a next working day delivery Courier. You will be contacted the day your guitar is due to leave us to ensure you will be available to receive the guitar. |
Back Orders
In the event of an item being out of stock you will be contacted and given the choice of waiting or cancelling your order. |
Tax Charges
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free and you should click the exempt button to reduce VAT to zero . |
Credit Card Security
All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site. |
Guarantee
All items are fully gauranteed for 12 months from purchase date. Any guitar sold with Premier Service will be set up before sale and we will gaurantee the playability of the instrument for 12 months. All premier service guitars sold can be checked over at 6 months and 12 months from sale - simply return the guitar and we will do the rest! (£5 fitting charge will made to fit new strings).
We do not accept responsibility in the case of guitars being mis-treated or adjusted by the owner of the instrument.
If you are not entirely satisfied with a delivered product, please notify us immediately and we will arrange to collect for a replacement or refund.
Richard personally contacts EVERY customer post sale to ensure they are happy both with the service he has offered and the playability of the guitar received.
This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. |

Regent Guitars do not disclose buyers' information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. |
Returns Policy
All deliveries are covered by your statutary right for a refund if you contact us within 7 days of delivery.
If a fault occurs within your warranty period, please contact us so we can arrange the most appropriate cause of action which may include a direct replacement or repair of your goods.
We pride ourselves on our customer service and it is our commitment to our customers POST sale that sets us apart from the average online store.
We work hard to ensure that every product we deliver arrives in perfect condition and fit for purpose.
Please be aware that the customer is liable for any charges incurred in returning goods to Richard's (faulty or otherwise).
IF any item is returned for repair in error (IE the goods are found on inspection not to be faulty) we reserve the right to apply a re-delivery charge equal to that of the original delivery charge.
We are happy to arrange for our Courier to collect goods for customers..
