Morning Megi and thanks!
Many of the forums I used to frequent seem to have died down quite a lot; a massive shame. Irony being one of the folks who hasn't been using them
Denmark Street has its famous collection of guitar shops. I visited a few years back and it had an equally impressive selection of affordable 'normal' guitars on top of the ludicrously expensive vintage jobbies.
Yes the Internet opens many doors if you keep chipping away! I think their break was getting played on an Internet Radio Station and a journalist heard them. I doubt it has payed them anything but great to get the exposure.

Wow, a lovely warm welcome! Thank you all. I've been trying to work out when I was last an active user and I think it was back around the time my first daughter arrived which would have been 2010. Back then, in my opinion, and hopefully not being…
An electro acoustic or a pure model?
If electro you could try Amplitube or Guitar Rig, they both have free 'limited' versions available I believe.
I'm not too sure how great they'd be through a mic'd acoustic.
You'd need an interface and headphon…
Wotcha. Very jealous about that AFD! I had the luck to play the Gibson model in Germany, the tone was unreal (although cosmetically I wouldn't have paid £500 for it let along a couple of '000's)
Oh that's one of those mirrorless interchangable lens jobbies isn't it? I'd love to try one!
I'm a dSLR user (EOS30d) which I don't mind carrying around with me most of the time. However, I've been keeping an eye out for a backup camera for the f…

The big one for me is natural light or a defused flash, or flash bounced off a wall or ceiling. A direct flash will bleach natural finished and reflect off coatings.
Also a tidy environment as other items will also show reflections in painted guita…
Hi Kingsley, welcome to the forums!
Your story of waiting sounds ver familiar! I've never played a GS in anger, be interested in your thoughts when it arrives.
These are the kind of things I love taking a risk on. If they're crap...well you can always take it back! (if it's that bad then it's not fit for purpose). However if it's good then WIN!
As some of you know I took a chance on an old Vester Studio s…
iTunes is great for breaking. I'd always suggest clean installs/upgrades; never of the top of each other.
I've been playing with this recently with issues relating to iPod drivers. The only way to get it running is to remove iTunes, restart, inst…
When you say it wont burn in other applications, what's the main app it's failing in..eg iTunes?
I'd suggest just checking all the cables are nice and secure.
From every piece of information I've read so far, this would normally indicate a firmwar…

One thing I've never quite understood is how the sequence of effects in the chain can impact the tone. Does it make a difference if you for example move the Reverb in front of the Leeds fuzz?
Hi Guys.
Seems photobucket is up the spout at the moment so the photos have gone a little squiffy. However, I finally got around to recording a few sound snippets for those who may be interested. Unfortunately I'm far from being a great player an…
